Turtle shell crafting recipe
Collect five turtle scutes from baby turtles as they grow into adults. Arrange them at a crafting table in the same shape as a helmet:
Repair a damaged shell with turtle scutes in an anvil. Its Water Breathing effect gives ten extra seconds when you enter water and refreshes when you return to air; it is not unlimited underwater breathing.
How to trim a turtle shell
- Find an armor trim smithing template.
- Place the template, turtle shell and a trim material into a smithing table.
- Take the decorated helmet. The template and trim material are consumed, so duplicate rare templates before using them.
The shell cannot be dyed. Try quartz for contrast or netherite for dark markings on its green base.
